1. Ricky Scaggs & Kentucky Thunder - “ Bluegrass Rules” - Rounder 1997
Ricky’s one of those guys who plays a number of instruments all great.Here he plays Mandolin mostly and plays his ass off ! This is a really good bluegrass record for someone who’s just getting into this style. Its pure traditional hillbilly without getting too corny.

2. Ricky Scaggs ,“ Highways and Heartaches” - MCA
Listening to “Bluegrass Rules” inspired me to go back and pull this off the shelf. A great country record with some burning electric guitar by Ray Flacke

3. The Young Rascals - “The Ultimate Rascals” - Warner Special Products
I’m a big fan. Felix you are a bad mofo.

4. Manu Dibango - “The Very Best Of “
Afrosouljazz. old school African Funk.

5. John Coltrane - “Blue Train ” - Bluenote
I really dig this period of Coltrane's work. Its a bit more accessible than some of his later stuff.
