Trouble Funk- Live/ Early Singles. This is SO funky, I don't know why it was
never more successful.
2.Maceo Parker- Live from Planet
Groove. Maceo is one of the artist where
trouble funk got there roots from (and they all got it
from JB)
3.John Mayall- Blues from Laurel Canyon. I've often written of what a great
influence John Mayall's Bluesbreakers were on me. This
is a recording that I just haven't reaquatinted myself
with in awhile. Mick Taylor sounds great!
4.Robert Cray Band-Take Your Shoes
Off. I often forget to mention how much I dig
Robert Crays guitar playing. I LOVE to listen to the way
he phrases things.
5.Pat Metheney, Brad Meldau
Quartet.-Metheny/Meldau.I love the quartet
instrumentation. This is a really great band. I like
this collaboration a
lot.
