Jeff-I have really been enjoying NightLife and am now going out to order some of yr. earlier releases! I love your mix of jazz & R&B & soulful playing - you know it reminds me of Eric Gale when he was playing with Stuff up at Mikelle's Pub - I wonder if he was an influence on you - and also I wonder how you get that sweet sound - do you use your thumb and flatwound strings - also would love to know the guitars you played on NightLife. Congratulations on a great recording!

I just love listening to the Nightlife CD. It's the first one I play on my way to work every morning. My husband and I have adopted this CD as "Road Music" each time we head out to Las Vegas. It's so smooth!! Darnell (my husband) says
he can't wait for your next release. You hear that, Jeff? Your public is calling! We love you!!!

Hi, Jeff and Avenue Blue,
Nightlife is fantastic! I just bought it a few days ago and
can't stop listening. Love that flute! I don't think I've
ever heard a flute sound like that before, VERY cool.
This was my introduction to your music, which is some of the
most interesting guitar work I've heard in quite awhile. I
especially love "seventh heaven." Just as soon as my next
paycheck arrives, I'm headin' out to the store for your first
two CD's! :-) All the best in 1999.

Jeff:
I'm a big fan and have seen Avenue Blue on many occasions. Your guitar playing is incredible. It is a great mix of jazz blues and R&B. I was wondering if you were ever planning on putting out a "Guitar Tablature" book to any of your albums?

I can't express to you enough what an absolute thrill it was to see you and John Davis again, jamming together at the Play-on Pub during the holidays. You sound awesome as usual. You always did.You are a great inspiration to anyone that loves guitar, especially me.The only thing that could have topped that would've been having Joe Hammer playing drums. Continued success to you and please stop by or call the store if you ever get back in town. or Email me, we'd love to hear from you. Best regards, Scott

Having been recently introduced to the music of Jeff Golub
and Avenue Blue, I was immediately struck by how good it is.
I've purchased (so far) "Nightlife" and "Naked City"--the
single, "naked city" being my favorite (although everything
is great). Consider me a fan; I look forward to the next
release.
