Jeff, just picked up "Out of the Blue" to add to my collection. I've been a fan since your first CD.
I remember having a hard time finding "Jeff Golub" because your early stuff was under
"Avenue Blue". Anyway, I really dig the edgy tone and the blistering technique. I have to ask you
though, I've seen your in adds for Hamer guitars and it even states you play Hamers in your CD
booklets, but you always have different axes in your pictures. I'm sure you own a gazillion guitars
but I was curious where your tone is coming from, what guage strings, etc. I own 1 jazz box and
a Peavey Falcon which is shaped like a strat but with a nice flame top and a carved body. I would
like to say great job on standing out from the crowd as far as sound goes. There's so much "Smooth"
Jazz out there that is starting to all sound the same, but your injection of the blues edge and slick a
arrangements lets your stuff stand out. Keep up the good work. Hope to see you live sometime.
Adios..

Hi Jeff. Saw you in Reading at the Berks Jazz Fest. Your style is incredible! Thanks for autographing my sweatshirt! My 8 year old twins were bummed because they couldn't make it to your show. I see you are coming back to Reading 8/28 for the Summer Jazz Series, but can't get details from any one around here . . . I guess I just don't know the right people to contact. Can you let me know who is sponsoring this event and how I can get tickets? My children are counting on me to get them to your show this time! Thanks in advance.

I have been a musician for 31 years and its good to know that some of the best musicians are from Ohio. We're orignally from Youngstown, Ohio, but have relocated to North Carolina. We plan on purchasing some of your earlier releases.

Jeff,
Thanks for the great interview. I'm going to check with Barnes and Noble to see if you sold any CD's here in Peoria after the interview. Thanks again....and let me know the next time you're playing Maui....I am sure somebody needs to carry your guitar...and I would be for hire.
Good Luck with the new CD

I am on pins and needles, waiting till tomorrow when Out of the Blue will be released. I was looking
forward to getting the cd till I heard some of it live in Temecula. Now, I simply can't wait! Also, Southern
California is the place to be this month, as we get the opportunity to see you twice. Memorial Day week-end
will be a blast. Thanks for coming out here again, you have fans counting their lucky stars.....

Hi Jeff, Well I must say you have come along way from playing at my younger sister Beckys party on Schoolcraft in good old Copley, Ohio!! Becky spoke with Penny Walter(I am sure you remember her) the other day and said that some of your old friends had seen you during your recent visit back home. I have your Avenue Blue CD, just love it, and are hoping you will make it to Greenville, S.C. one day. WE have some nice blues clubs, etc..,. Hope your family are all doing well, and where is Pete? I will be home in Copley for the 30th class reunion this summer and will drive through the old neighborhood and think of all the fun times we had as kids. Congrats on your very successful fulfilling career--as Becky said, you always knew where you wanted to go and you did!! Please let us know if you make it to the Carolinas--we have a beautiful horse farm here at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains--great atmosphere for kicking back! Safe journeys on your tour--Debi

Hi Jeff!

I'm really slow and lazy as far as getting back to you. I'm now connected on the Web at home instead of having to borrow some other places' connection.

You were great at Montage '97 (you had a set followed by Rick Braun) and I got to talk to you and your sax guy. I emailed you soon after to let you know what a great job you did at the concert and with the Nightlife release.

Then you knocked me off my feet by handwriting me on notebook paper when you answered me back! You are most defintely on my dinner party list now; most any well-known celebrity, musician, or similar person wouldn't go to that much trouble. As soon as I can get it in the mail, you are most definitely due a large sample of you favorite beverage (you know it well, it comes in a blue box).

I can't wait to find your new release at the store. Please get back here and share your special musical gift (When are you coming and where??).

Thanks for being the most above-average well-known-type person I've ever met. Don't stop being who you are and what you play.

Cheers!

Hello Again!
I met you at the concert at University of California, Riverside last year - and came to the show in Pasadena soon after that. I will definitely be there in Newport Beach this year to see you again!
Love your music. Have all of your CDs and encourage all my friends to do the same!
Best of luck to you in your career and life.
