SEPTEMBER, 2000

Hi Jeff! It's been awhile since I interviewed you on Boston's former Jazz Station, The Oasis. As you know the station latter became WSJZ, Smooth Jazz 96.9 and eventually became Talk 96.9. I left Boston in July and I'm presently employed as The Local Sales Manager for The Capitol Districts only Smooth Jazz Station, Smooth Jazz 104.9. The program director wants me to develop a Sunday Morning Jazz Show and I'll probably do it in the near future. I'd like to talk with you about performing in the Albany,NY Area. Call em at your convenience at 518-786-6657 at work or at home at 518-427-5199.

Hi Jeff! Good to hear from you! I played "Dangerous Curves" for my students--they loved it (no big surprise there). I passed along your greetings--you are the bomb in first period Composition 2! With regard to your playing The Tangier in Akron: I left a message with Ed George, owner of the whole shebang. He has your booking agent's phone numbers and web site address, so expect a call! My students said they would love to come see you in Akron (field trip!). Let me know what happens. Take care. Always, MariLou

Hi again Jeff! I see lots of visitors from Peter's fan club on here and that's great! As you can tell, The Caravan truly supports you and appreciates all your fine music! Just wanted to once again express my thanks for your contribution to our next newsletter...there's a Jeff Golub special coming out in it and what you've added to it is simply "icing on the cake"! Thanks also for your time and graciousness in Houston in the Arena lobby...that G&S show, in particular with your contribution was simply marvelous! You are a true gentleman and geniunely good guy, it's such a pleasure to see wonderful music delivered by such terrific people! I'll be in touch with your own copy of "Caravan Moments" once published and again, thanks for all those special and "perfect moments".

Dear Jeff: We went to the Guitars and Saxes show in San Antonio on the 17th. and loved it. My question for you is will there be a video or cd available for that show or any other of the Guitars and Saxes shows? How about a video and a cd? That would be a great thing for you and your fans. Think about it!!!!!!! See ya next time and be good (yea right). Thanks for the wonderful show.

Jeff,
My wife and I caught the Guitars and Saxes tour in Houston Saturday night (3rd row seats). It was a great time. There are no bad seats in the "Arena". I hope the revolving stage didn't make you guy's too dizzy. All of you made us dizzy with your electrifying performances. We both thought it was the best concert we've ever been to, and we've been to see many performers. Hope to see you again on your next tour of Houston. God Bless you and your family.

Hi Jeff,
I was fortunate enough to get to see you perform two nights in a row!! Yeah Fort Worth! You have to admit Texas is not bad. Tonight was so much better than Thursday evening - everybody was jammin'. What a wonderful group of musicians. This was the first time to see you play and I have to admit I liked it. Your #1 with Peter White is awesome (prejudiced because I belong to the PW fan club). Keep up the good work and I love your new CD.

Jeff, Sorry I had to miss your show in Cleveland, sometimes
life gets in the way. Hope Greg conveyed my regrets. He said
the show was fabulous. I'll catch you next time...further on down the road. By the way, it's been a long road since Casper
hasn't it? Z

Hey Jeff; Fellow "Homer" here. I'm from Cleveland but living in LA. I was searching the net for info on the Peavey Classic 50 and your site came up. I remember seeing something in either "Scene" or a guitar rag when you joined Rod Stewarts group. I have only 1 night with the Peavey, but, I like it. I think it is more transparent than my Marshall DSLs (50 & 401) or Boogies (TriAxis, Reverb Rocket) and felt it was sweeter than the comparable Hot Rod Deville.

I love the equipment page! I'm curious why you have to "rent" amps? That would scare me, but, at your level it must not matter.

Good Luck and keep spankin' the plank!

Good Luck!

Jeffery,
Words can not say how proud I am of you and this new CD. It is unusual when I can say "I knew you when" but in your case, I can. May good fortune always be yours.

Hi Jeff...Please accept my apology for taking so long to write. I got to see you play (again) at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. I'm not sure if you remember or not, but when you were signing my "Out of the Blue" and "Dangerous Curves" cd liners, I told you that I had been a fan since I saw you three years ago at the Snoqualmie Valley Amphitheatre. You set down your pen and came out from behind the table and gave me a great big hug! I am truly convinced that you are an exceptionally nice guy... just as I remember you from meeting you three years ago. I just wanted to say that it was truly a thrill to see you again. I wanted to go and see that show anyway, but when I found out you were going to be there, no way was I going to miss it. I also want to say congratulations to you and Peter White on the number one status of "No Two Ways About It". How cool!!! I am a charter member of Peter White's fan club. Believe me, if someone ever starts a fan club for you, I will definitely join up! By the way... when I saw you at the zoo... you told me the story about the girl that had the school picture with you and her in it. Is she the one that posted below? That is so great. Small world isn't it. Well, take care... and if I get any good pictures from the zoo..darn those rules...no cameras :(, I will send them your way. Take care Jeff... I'll catch up with you next time you make it to Seattle. Hopefully that won't be a long time.

How wonderful to hear from you! That really meant a lot to me. Unfortunately Keith and I are no longer together, so I'm unable to pass along your thanks. But I'll never forget that concert--it was a thrill to finally see you in person--and then your buddy Peter White was a mega bonus! This must be what heaven is like.... My friends call me a jazz junkie--I even play jazz for my students in class (high school seniors). This morning I played your Nightlife CD--they LOVED it! I promised them I'd bring in Dangerous Curves tomorrow (I play it on my commute to work--I just know I'll get a ticket for being a noise nuisance--I can't help but crank it up!) My students send along a BIG HELLO! Do you think you might play The Tangier in Akron? I'm sure you're familiar with it--it's a great venue for jazz--a real club atmosphere. I try to go there often (of course). They have a web site--www.thetangier.com--where you can contact them--or 1-800-TANGIER. The owners are good people and love getting new artists booked. It would be great to see you again--maybe I can even get a field trip together for the event.... Thanks again so much for your reply--it really made the beginning of the school year special for me. Good luck in your travels--MariLou

Jeff: I was fortunate enough to catch your performance last night at Ruth Eckerd Hall and I can't tell you how much my husband and I enjoyed it. Dear Jeff: Just wanted to say "hi" and tell you I think you are an incredibly talented musician. I had the privellege of seeing you play down here in sunny South Florida a couple of years ago. I hugged you and asked if I could go home with you in your suitcase. (smiles) Now you're coming again, but I regret to say I won't be able to make the show. I would love to see you work with cats like Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour, Bob James and Harvey Mason. God bless you abundantly always! You are precious. Love and hugs, Monique

Jeff,
The Gear addition to the web page is great. To those of us who try to emulate your tone, this is helpful. I became the proud owner of a Line 6 POD for my birthday and have been utilizing it extensively. I'm hoping to match up a close facsimile of your tone eventually. Love the "Dangerous Curves" CD. Hope to catch you at the Ariel Theatre next weekend in Houston. Question: I noticed you used the Fender extensively on "Out Of The Blue". Was there a distinct reason you chose to do so? I play a Fender "Big Apple" Strat and was just wandering. Keep up the good work.

Jeff/Band,

How about a little help...

Any chance you can direct me to the sheet music, charts, etc. for your Nightlife CD? Or more specifically, Bobby's Mood or Always There.

Just another end of bed guitar player.

Thanks,
