November 1996
Just a note to say "Hi" to anyone checking in on the web site!
Not that much happening really. The World Series was great. I went to a different sports bar every night. It was really an exciting time in New York City. I won $150 and a sushi dinner.
I just returned from spending a week in L.A.. We had a gig at B.B. Kings Club and then I just hung around to see some friends and enjoy the weather. Being a typical New Yorker, I rented a convertable. But it rained half the time so I might as well have gotten the economy deal.
Some bad news....this week, my friend, companion and pet cat named "Guido" passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 6th. I've sent along a photo of us taken just the week before. He was 10 years old and I'll miss him very much.
Heard a few CD's I really liked. One is Joshua Redmond's "Freedom in the Groove" on Warner Bros., and another is Grateful Heart: Blues & Ballads" by Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters on Bullseye Blues.
That's about it. I'll write again next month and maybe something more interesting will have happened by then.
Happy Thanksgiving
