"Dangerous Curves" Reviews

I cannot get the song "Dangerous Curves" out of my head. To me it is almost the perfect jazz guitarist's song, not to mention the great artists who assist in the perfect blend of musicianship. It has it all! No question!! The rest of the album confirms my belief that this jazz combo is perhaps the greatest of all time.

Hi Jeff! Really enjoyed the G & S show in St.Pete a couple of weeks ago. That was the most fun I've seen really talented musicians having together ever, and not even in the same band. Sorry, but hadn't heard of you prior to that(would like to hear more about your R&R escapades)--wow was I missing something! Wasn't really into blues or jazzy blues---am now. It was great to meet you afterwards and really enjoyed the micro-soft(no pun intended)playing of Dangerous Curves right in front of me. I picked up your two "solo" cds before the show--thanks for signing them! Yesterday, I received 3 Avenue Blue cds and am listening to them today-Fantastic! Need to get you to sign those also! When are you coming this way? Glad Daddyhood is treating you well! Best wishes!-Bill

Dangerous Curves ... an excellent musical offering by an outstanding guitarist! Well rehearsed and exquisitely performed by Jeff and a very talented group of accompanying musicians. A "must have" CD.

I've been a guitarist since 1963, mostly straightahead jazz and some jazz/fusion. Kept hearing about this "Jeff Golub" dude, but never got his recordings until last week. "Dangerous Curves" is an outstanding piece of music. This guy has some outstanding chops and is uncannily similar to one of the legends, the late Eric Gale. I'm gonna purchase Mr. Golub's earlier recordings too. Very impressed!

Jeff - this is truly a great album. I love it. You have Peter White on it who is also one of my favorites. Very well done. I can't wait until you come to the Washington/Baltimore/Virginia area so that I can see and hear you play. I am only 5 years into jazz but it amazes me the diversity out there. You guys are truly a blessing and have given me such a great appreciation for different instruments. Can't wait to see ya! Come soon.

"Dangerous Curves"~~~Well, there's not a bad track on it! I keep listening to the subtleties and am amazed how well Jeff was prepared before going into 'studio time' to record it. I would highly recommend this CD to anyone who likes the guitar. Indeed, Jeff Golub is a 'master virtuoso' of this instrument in every way. Very pleasurable listening!

I met Jeff in seattle at smooth jazz festival Ive never met a more humble friendly person. I was amazed that he could remember me from an autograph line several hours later after meeting so many people he took the time to talk to me about me and my guitar. this last c/d is his best incredible.

I just got the CD for Christmas, way cool!! Home, car and in the computer at work I've been having fun listening to it. I've had the good fortune of seeing Jeff in NYC several times, if you live in the metro area try your best to see him live! Thanks Jeff, I have to go out and get your earlier CD's also!

I saw Jeff with Warren Hill on 11/10/00 at IMAC in Huntington,NY. Incredible. There is no doubt Jeff is one
of the best guitarists of any time. Jeff's playing is so skillfull,
but his composing/arranging is the finest. I can't think of
anyone who can meld jazz, blues, and rock and produce
the coolest, funkiest discs out there. All of Jeff's projects
are fantastic and well worth purchasing. Also, he and
master saxman Warren Hill are some combo. Not to be
missed. They should tour together all the time. I am a guitar
player and lover of smooth jazz. Jeff has the gift.

I saw Jeff at the Winter Park Jazz Festival and decided to buy Dangerous Curves. It is excellent. My favorite track is "No Two Ways About It". I really think Jeff has created a classic in the form of George Benson's "Grooving" with this song. Congratulations.

We've had Dangerous Curves since the release in June - how
does Jeff continue to top himself time and again? With each
new CD we swear it's "the best there ever could be!", yet
we're ecstactic about the next release! Don't know how he
does it, but we're praying it continues for many years to come!
Thanks, Jeff!

Is it any surprise that "No Two Ways About It" is a #1 Hit? Jeff has been turning out great music for years! If you could only buy one CD a year, "Dangerous Curves" should be the one! This CD is full of great tunes. Whether your looking for Jeff's trademark golden touch or funky fun stuff, you'll find it on this CD. I could go on and on about each individual cut but the fact is that Jeff's CDs are never packed with FLUFF. He's the real deal. The only thing better is one of his live performances. So don't miss him if he comes to your area. You will never be disappointed! BUY THIS CD!!!!! And Jeff, Congrats on #1. Whats next?

As usual, Jeff has out done himself wth his incredible line-up of great cohorts. This cd is light and fun and does give the feel of a friday night in a little club listening to Jeff wail away.
So far, my favorite is DROPTOP..for no apparent reason but I like the way it makes me feel.
