This is a slightly different entry into the “What’s in my CD player” section because it’s actually” What’s in my DVD player” ( when they are not in the machine they pretty much look the same anyway).
I recently watched a DVD called “The Fog of War” which I could not recommend higher. Especially considering the situation our country and the world are faced with today. It’s a documentary about Robert McNamara (secretary of defense to John Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson during the Vietnam war and the Cuban missile crisis).
At 85, McNamara shows himself to be a very intelligent and insightful man who shares with us a wealth of experience as to the inner workings of the US war machine. No matter what your political affiliation or views are, this is a fascination movie. Audrey and I put it on one night just before bed thinking that we might watch little bit of it and then continue it later but quickly got totally sucked in and stayed up until the end. Do yourself a favor next time you're staring at the same old titles in the video store, rent “The Fog of War”.
