It’s
time for another presidential election. Don’t worry, I’m
NOT going to try and influence your vote, I just want to
encourage you
TO
vote.
I’m bringing this up because now’s
the time to register.
We may not have much control over
what our elected officials do once they’re in office,
but we do have a choice in who we put our trust in to
hold those offices. I know that
I’m most likely preaching to the choir, most of us have
figured out that this is our chance to have a say in our
future. I’m counting on most you of to be, or plan to be
registered to vote.
I also know that many of you have
children who are over 18. If you have any influence, I
would like to see you try to impress upon them the
importance of voting.
I don’t mean for you to try and
influence their opinions or choices. Rather to encourage
them to research what the candidate's real views are on
the issues. Not just make judgments based on
hearsay, but make their own educated choices and cast
their vote.
We are only given the opportunity
to choose who holds the executive office in this country
once every 4 years. Let’s do our best to make sure that
eveyone who’s eligible helps to make that
decision.
